#J2007 Type 14 Nambu Clamshell Holster - Rubberized Canvas
Rubberized canvas clamshell holster for the Type 14 Nambu pistol.  The rubberized version was introduced around 1941-1942 when leather was getting scarce, so the Japanese were essentially bonding together canvas and latex. Another advantage of this material was that it was almost indestructible in tropical climates.  This example is known as the Type IX with rubberized spare striker pouch.  The only leather on this model is hinge that holds the clamshell closed and some various small bits.  This part consisting of leather and small springs that closes the clamshell is pretty stiff now, but that is how these all are.  The shell has a few shallow dents from use which is typical.  Good overall example. *Sold*
