#CD649 Canadian Parachute Corps Cap Badge
Original Second World War Canadian Parachute Corps brass cap badge. Badge features an open parachute between two vertical wings, with shroud lines issuant from a cloud resting between the bases of the wings; at the junction of the shroud lines and superimposed upon the cloud, a large maple leaf flanked by two smaller maple leaves on each side; the whole resting on a ribbon scroll inscribed “CANADIAN - PARACHUTE - CORPS”. Original soldered lugs with split pin fastener. Gilded brass finish. Sharp parachute and maple leaf details are observed consistent with other documented originals. Confirmed authentic in hand by Ken Joyce (Author, Into the Maelstrom; The 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion; history, insignia, uniforms). Excellent condition, in either very lightly worn or unissued condition. Never cleaned showing an even light patina. Scarce. $475

Bakelite Canadian Parachute Corps Cap Badge
Original Second World War Canadian Parachute Corps Bakelite cap badge. This is the type of cap badge worn by Canadian paratroopers on D-Day. The pin and mounted lugs are in excellent condition, in many case the lugs are damaged and the pin is missing. We had this cap badge previously inspected by Ken Joyce, airborne insignia expert and author of “Into the Maelstrom; The 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion; history, insignia, and uniforms” who confirmed for us this was an original when we purchased it. Original Second World War Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada medal group attributed to E.J. Arezzo (Wounded in action). Consignor reports this group was acquired indirectly from the family (Who kept the certificate shown in the photo). The consignor has requested Arezzo’s file from an archival researcher, and when that is completed it will be forwarded to the buyer. The group consists of five Campaign medals with CVSM bar, embroidered QOR shoulder title and 3rd Canadian Division shoulder badge, four years overseas service chevrons, three wound stripes, two small religious personal effects, one QOR cap badge with plastic backing, and an impressive other ranks wartime QOR wedge cap with additional original period mounted cap badge. *Sold*

These rare badges are often faked, this is a bonafide original example was inspected in hand by Ken Joyce, airborne insignia expert and author of "Into the Maelstrom; The 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion; history, insignia, uniforms" who confirmed for us its originality and original mounted lugs. Excellent condition with original guild, lightly worn or perhaps unissued. We have included a correct length period brass pin to complete the badge, shown in the last photo this should be useful if the purchaser wants to display the badge on a beret. Canadian Parachute Corps Cap Badge & Collar Badge
Original Second World War Officer's silver and gilt Canadian Parachute Corps cap badge marked Scully Ltd. over Montreal with factory applied lug fasteners. A single silver and gilt Canadian Parachute Corps collar badge marked Scully Ltd. over Montreal beside Trojan soldiers head motif. The cap badge was purchased by Private Rene Rice 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion at the A-35 Canadian Parachute Training Center Canteen in October 1944 after parachute qualifying  on the 10th of that month. Not being an officer, he acquired it for wear while walking out. Rice jumped at the Rhine Crossing in March 1945 and fought to Wismar in Germany when the war ended. Fantastic example of this rare insignia in top condition. *Sold*

Original Second World War pair of silver and gilt Canadian Parachute Corps collar badges marked Scully Ltd. over Montreal beside Trojan soldier’s head motif. The collar badges were discovered at an estate sale of a former FSSF member, but the name was not provided. Original Second World War 17th Duke of York’s Royal Canadian Hussars cap badge. The cap badge features Roman numerals XVII surrounded by two scrolls, the upper inscribed “DUKE OF YORK’S” the lower “ROYAL CANADIAN HUSSARS” and surmounted by the White Rose of the House of York, with the Garter ensigned with the coronet of a Royal Duke.
