This 1938 Colt M1911A1 is the first pistol given the "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" roll mark. Inspector Frederick W. Hauff.

1941 Colt M1911A1 with early parkerized finish inspected by Robert Sears. Some collectors have noted that pistols in this range often surface threw Marine veterans of Guadalcanal and it's believed many of the early parkerized Colts were sent there.
​

1942 Colt M1911A1 inspected by Waldemar S. Broberg, the trigger has a very light colored parkerizing which is an interesting feature for some WB Colts in this range.

Remington Rand M1911A1 with 'Type I' slide rollmark. Finished with 'du-lite' bluing over a sandblasted surface.

Union Switch & Signal Company
​
A standard wartime M1911A1 manufactured by Union Switch & Signal Company in Swissvale, Pennsylvania and inspected by Robert C. Downie. The US&S factory was known for employing mostly women on the assembly line. This pistol is from a small range that does not have the typical cylindrical machine marks on the barrel bushing. The pistol is finished with 'du-lite' bluing over a sandblasted finished with bright blue trigger.

Princess Louise Fusiliers, Cpl Thompson Grouping
Original WWII Princess Louise Fusiliers grouping worn by Cpl Douglas Harris Thompson who enlisted and served overseas with the unit as a rifleman. This large and interesting group includes; Original period badged Battle Dress jacket with Princess Louise Fusiliers shoulder titles, Italy shield, 5th Canadian Division patches, Corporal rank chevrons, ribbons and overseas service chevrons. The tunic is typical Canadian 1944 production with button neck closure and C broad arrow stamp still visible inside. Cap badge, with Cpl Thompson's name and regimental number scratched inside the reverse of the dome. Paperwork, including; Cpl Thompson's pay book, training records and qualifications, a large stack of postcards, foreign currency, and a few other small items. There are many other small details of the paperwork and images not shown here to be enjoyed by the next owner. The grouping has not yet been researched past what is presented here, but would be a good research project. Excellent combat grouping from a frontline soldier with provenance.

Cape Breton Highlanders Battle Dress Tunic
Original WWII Cape Breton Highlanders Battle Dress tunic. Features original period applied insignia consisting of standard English made starch back shoulder titles "THE CAPE BRETON HIGHLANDERS CANADA" and 5th Division sleeve patches. The base tunic is a standard early war Canadian made example, dated 1942, with makers information (T. Eaton) and regimental number we haven't researched (Could be a good research project!). The tunic is also marked "ST. CATHERINES". This is an excellent tunic the soldier would have worn coming home at the end of hostilities. *Sold*
