#G1038 Bullet Struck “Ersatz” Combat Bayonet
Original WWI German all steel “Ersatz” substitute bayonet battle damaged with bullet strike to the scabbard. These bayonets were constructed of machined steel parts to conserve valuable materials during the later stages of the war. The bullet strike to the scabbard doesn’t effect how the blade sits inside the scabbard, it can fortunately be removed and put back in easily. This is a great untouched “been there” bayonet with bullet damage. $225

Original WWI German gas mask set in excellent condition. This set was brought home by an American soldier who added a quirk about using it in cigar smoke filled bars. The note is written on the reverse of the cardboard instruction at the bottom of the container which is often the missing. Although excellent condition, we think the set was issued and used as the string on the front of the mask has been removed as seen in use in period photos (One could be easily re-added).  Original straps for this gas mask set are in much better than average condition, these are almost always damaged or missing. *Sold*
