#G1001 M1917 German Helmet Unit Marked 2. Machine Gun Kompanie
German WWI M1917 helmet unit marked 2. Machine Gun Kompanie!  The helmet is manufactured by Gebruder Gnüchtel, with faint smelting lot number.  Field grey paint with a slightly glossy finish correct for this maker, never cleaned or polished. The helmet is complete with original M1917 liner and chinstrap.  The chinstrap has an interesting period repair to one end. Faintly marked inside the flange ‘2. M.G.K.’ for 2. Machine Gun Kompanie.   The helmet is also faintly named inside the flange, although I haven’t been able to make it out.  A great piece of history for your WWI helmet collection, with very desirable provenance to a machine gun unit.  This helmet was posted on GHW2 forum by a previous owner, a link to that thread is included below.  Nice! *Sold*

#BG1 WWI M16 Camouflage Steel Helmet
Original WWI German M16 camouflage painted steel helmet.  Nice example of a German helmet with camouflage fields and black dividing lines hand painted by the German soldier who once owned it.  Classic pigment texture paint only found on originals. Liner is missing but one of the chinstrap buckles is still hanging inside. The steel shell is maker marked on the inner skirt "B.F. 62" attributed to the firm F.C. Bellinger of Fulda in size 62. This helmet came from the estate of Hubert M. Lake who was from Newfoundland and joined the CEF as a driver (Dvr) with No. 15 Canadian Field Ambulance during WWI. You will be e-mailed a copy of the Dvr Lake's entire 44 page service file obtained from Library and Archives Canada, which you can maintain digitally or have printed and displayed with the helmet. The consignor has also listed some of Dvr Lake's Canadian CEF items for sale in the Commonwealth WWI section. This is a good example of a WWI German camouflage helmet that is textbook original, and it's very uncommon to find one with provenance and service file to the soldier who brought it home. *Sold*

The steel liner has several well preserved clear ink stamps including 'FCB' over '17' (1917) next to '64' (Size) under the front pad and 'AKF' partially under the rear right pad. Inside the dome is the heat lot code '351S'. #G1009 German Gas Mask
German WWI gas mask set in excellent condition.  This set was brought or mailed home by an American soldier who added a quirk about using it in cigar smoke filled bars.  The note is written on the reverse of the cardboard instruction at the bottom of the container which is often the missing.  Although excellent condition, we think the set was issued and used as the string on the front of the mask has been removed as seen in period photos (One could be easily re-added).  Most impressive is original straps for this gas mask set are in much better than average condition, these are almost always damaged or missing.  A really nice set for any collection! *Sold*

1914-1918 Heeresgruppe Krompr. Rupprecht von Bayern 1L Beer Stein
1914-1918 Heeresgruppe Krompr. Rupprecht von Bayern 1L Imperial German soldiers ceramic beer stein.  The 1L marking is dead centre indicating the stein itself is likely pre-1918 production. At some point it appears someone dropped the stein (They drank too much?) and then managed to very skillfully repair it.  The repair looks old, I'm not sure how it was done but it's solid and could still be used.  Neat and unique item for a display. *Sold*
