#SA1 Combat Helmet Chinstrap
Original WWII German combat helmet chinstrap. Suitable for completing any German helmet that is missing the chinstrap. Useful accessory that is ready to be installed on a nice helmet. $150 *On Hold*

#G2570 DAK Tropical Helmet, 2nd Pattern

#G2034 Heer Signals Tropical Overseas Cap
Original WWII German Heer Signals tropical overseas cap for an enlisted member. Typical tropical construction of olive coloured cotton drill, with red cotton liner, and ventilation grommets. All original factory applied insignia with yellow signals branch soutache. Nicely maker marked with black ink stamps in a typical period size 55. Lightly worn condition with interesting cockade. $550

#MP1 Heer Transitional Combat Helmet
Original WWII German Heer transitional combat helmet. The steel shell was produced during WWI and maker marked in the steel skirt "Bell" L64 (R. Lindenberg A.G., Remscheid-Hasten, in size 64). The helmet was refitted for service in WWII receiving a thick coat of the standard grey textured helmet paint observed on later produced helmet, a new WWII style liner and chinstrap, and Heer decal which was properly removed as per period regulations. The helmet is named to "Jg. Böhler, Walter" on the leather liner. All components are undisturbed, with tight pins that have never been removed. Excellent condition example. $875

#RG197 Luftwaffe EM Overseas Cap
Original WWII German Luftwaffe enlisted member's overseas cap. The insignia features original period applied Luftwaffe national emblem of eagle carrying swastika, over padded rosette. The insignia is well sunken down, and is hand applied in the typical period fashion observed on these caps with no signs of other insignia ever being there. The cap is field worn, showing some fading and genuine wear to the interior and exterior. Great field worn example. $450

#GG6 Late War Production Heer Overseas Cap
Original WWII German late-war production Heer overseas cap. Due to the introduction of the M43 field cap, the earlier style M34 overseas cap was made in limited numbers later in the war. This example was produced in 1944 and is RBNr maker marked "0/0620/0003" in size 54, this maker produced many field caps of various styles for multiple branches of the Wehrmacht. Some collectors believe these may have been intended for rear-echelon troops, such as those encountered by the Allied forces during the D-Day landing manning coastal positions. The cap is constructed of typical mid to late-war Heer field grey wool, with rayon and recycled material lining. The original factory applied insignia which would have been a trapezoid has been replaced with an earlier style eagle. A seldom encountered field cap. $400

#RG108 M35 Grey Camo Overpaint
Original WWII German M35 combat helmet with grey camouflage overpaint, potentially done for re-issue and to subdue the glossy paint and decals standard on early M35 helmets. The overall condition is good, the steel helmet itself is in excellent shape, the liner and chinstrap have some breaks in the leather shown in the photos, the liner has cool shoe string liner string that we think is original, perhaps it was more comfortable, we have decided to leave it exactly as found. The chinstrap is broken but has an early aluminum buckle, which is correct for M35 and likely the factory original. The thick grey camouflage paint has covered the lot numbers and steel shell markings, so we haven't consulted the lot number database for this one. Overall, this is a nice period camouflage re-painted helmet that is definitely authentic and a fraction the price of more exotic wartime camouflage colours. $800

#RG186 Combat Helmet Pins and Washers
Original WWII German combat helmet pins and washers. Enough for one helmet. Used and removed from another helmet at some point. Useful and hard to find on the loose. $50

#HH5 Camouflaged and Netted M40 Combat Helmet
Original WWII German camouflaged and netted M40 combat helmet. The base M40 helmet is marked ET64 (Maker: Eisenhüttenwerk Thale / Herz, size 64). The period applied camouflage consists of a chunky layer grey paint mixed with sawdust, with additional earth tones applied and what may be the remains of what may be winter whitewash and / or mud. The helmet is named inside the rear of the steel skirt, to Gefreiter Schmitt L. The liner and chinstrap components are also original to the helmet and perfectly matching, the liner has tight pins and washers that have never been removed. The overall look of the helmet is impressive, filled with lots of uncleaned patina. The camouflage net is an Wehrmacht issue example, with fine wire hooks and ring. The net is period original applied, showing consistent wear and patina with the rest of the helmet and essentially molded to the helmets shape left untouched. An impressive helmet ready for any collection that has never been cleaned or messed with. *Sold*

#G2240 M40 Panzergrenadier Tropical Camo Helmet
Original WWII German Heer M40 tropical theatre Panzergrenadier camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is symbolic of the fighting in North Africa and other tropical theatres including Italy. The camouflage paint was applied directly over the Heer decal which still shows slightly through. The helmet has been named in paint to "Pz. Grn. Funk. F.P.N. 10056". The base helmet is M40 with original liner, tight pins, and good original chinstrap. Faintly marked on the interior of the steel skirt "EF64" (Maker: Emaillerwerke A.G. / Fulda in size 64) and "31165" (Factory lot number). This is a true "been there" example worn in combat and sent home from the battlefield as a souvenir. A great camouflage combat helmet. Update: Since selling this helmet the buyer discovered the soldier served in Tunisia. *Sold*

#G2262 M42 Ex-Wire Camouflage Helmet
Original WWII German Heer (Army) "ex-wire" camouflaged helmet featuring splotched green paint over ordnance tan base forming a cool pattern where a wire or net was once on the helmet at the time of painting. The base helmet is an M42 produced by maker ckl (Eisenhüttenwerk Thale / Herz) in size 64. The helmet features an original Heer (Army) decal that is visible through the paint. Consulting the GHW2 lot number database, this helmet lot number ckl 2840 is consistent with other observed decal helmets. This is an excellent untouched German camouflaged helmet that will look great in any collection. *Sold*

#G2290 M40 "Normandy" Camouflaged Combat Helmet "Lt. Rotter"
Original WWII German "Normandy" camouflaged combat helmet named to Lt. Rotter. Standard period spray camouflaged pattern consisting of ordnance tan base, with olive green and red brown splotches sprayed overtop. This camouflage pattern was typically applied in the field by branches of the Heer, Luftwaffe, and Waffen-SS. The helmet is maker marked inside the steel skirt "Q64" (Maker: Quist, Esslingen. Size 64). There is a lot number in the steel skirt as well but is obscured by several layers of paint. Between the factory paint and the sprayed camouflage paint is a layer of gritty grey camouflaged paint that makes it difficult to tell if there is decals under the paint or not. The helmet is named in a really cool way to "Lt. Rotter" and is a highlight of this helmet. This soldier wore the helmet a long time because it is named to him under the tan paint in the skirt as well, only visible in bright lighting can you see the previous place where it is named under the paint. All pins and washers are tightly in place, the liner is original to the helmet and has some traces of tan paint from when the steel skirt was painted proving they are for sure original to each other. Overall, an excellent true original "Normandy" camouflaged helmet that will nicely compliment any collection. *Sold*

#G2418 M40 Heer Combat Helmet
Original WWII German Heer M40 combat helmet in near-mint condition, showing only the lightest wear. The helmet is maker marked inside the steel skirt "SE62" (Maker: Sächsische emailler und stanzwerke A.G. / Lauter. Size: 62) and lot number "1273". Consulting the lot number database, this helmet is consistent with other single decal Heer helmets within this lot number range. The original factory applied Heer decal is complete. Original construction with tight pins, washers, original liner that has never been removed, along with the original matching excellent condition RBNr marked chinstrap. *Sold*

Heer M42 Single Decal Helmet
Original WWII Heer M42 single decal helmet.  This is one of the most iconic helmets of WWII.  This is example is a desirable size 68 and is just lightly worn and entirely original.  The pins are tight and have never been removed. Excellent original factory applied decal over very strong original factory paint. Breakdown of markings: marked EF on the right side of interior skirt for maker Emaillerwerke A.G. / Fulda, marked 68 next to the EF for the size, marked 1278 at rear of skirt representing lot number. Consulting the lot data research available on GHW2, this helmet is consistent and early enough to be a correct single decal Heer example compared to other known originals and this exact helmet is noted in the database.  If you want a totally textbook M42 Heer helmet in great condition without flaws this would be a great choice. *Sold*

#SB1 Kriegsmarine M42 Helmet in Shipboard Grey
Original WWII Kriegsmarine M42 helmet painted ‘shipboard grey’.  Consignor reports this helmet was found in trash bin in Bagenkop, Denmark, on the island of Langeland north of Kiel, Germany.  The helmet is presented on the shipboard grey discussion thread on GHW2.  There are clear markings on the top of the helmet that indicate that it likely sat in a shipboard helmet rack, as shown in period photos.  Metal on metal scouring is visible on the top probably from the vibration of the ship or boat. Langeland is an island near Kiel that had a heavy KM presence during the war, in addition to land radar installations, there was a ship repair yard and an E-boat base. Several sunken E-boats are still in the waters off of Bagenkop, where this helmet was found.  The colour is consistent with the fog grey camouflage of many of E-boats. The chinstrap is unmarked but has paint residue from the helmet. The paint is a kind of marine gloss finish, with what appears to be exposure to salt air and sea water. Another interesting and rare helmet variation that rarely comes around with positive discussion on GHW2. *Sold*

#RG1 Luftwaffe M40 Wire Helmet
Luftwaffe M40 with period applied wire for attachment of foliage.  The wire on this helmet is classic period applied application and consistent with other known originals.  The helmet is a re-issue and the wire paint is consistent with the helmet, showing interaction with the steel of the helmet, particularly noticeable on the top.  The helmet is complete with original liner and chinstrap.  This would be an excellent choice if you're looking to ad a wire camouflage helmet to your collection that would be respected amongst advanced helmet collectors and historians.  Guaranteed original, any prospective buyers are welcome to post photos for review on GHW2 or WAF.  The consignor reports the helmet was found at a gun show several years ago.  This is the first wire helmet we've been confident in listing for sale. *Sold*

#RG22 National Socialist Motor Corps NSKK M40 Helmet
Original WWII National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK) M40 Helmet.  As with all original NSKK helmets, this one started life as a Luftwaffe issue helmet. The base helmet is a model M40 ET66 lot number 59.  The helmet was original wartime repainted and reissued for service in the NSKK.  All known true original NSKK helmets were re-issued from Luftwaffe stocks, as they oversaw supply to the NSKK.  The reissue consisted of a grey-blue repaint that went over the existing Luftwaffe decal, which is still partially visible under the paint in the right angle and I have tried to show it in the photos. The helmet was originally sold by Giorgio at Italian War Front many years ago.  This exact helmet was then previously posted on GHW2 where it received all positive reviews in 2008, please follow the link at the bottom of this listing to see that discussion.  A very desirable true original NSKK helmet in service used condition, a rare helmet that will be a worthy addition to any WWII collection. *Sold*

#G2229 Heer M35 Double Decal Helmet
Original WWII German Heer (Army) M35 combat helmet, gritty field camouflage paint with outline of former rubber camouflage band symbolic of the Eastern Front. The gritty camouflage paint goes around the original factory double decals, covering the bottom edge of the tri-colour shield, it's uncommon to find any camouflage helmet with both decals still intact, as the arsenals and soldiers typically painted over them. The outline of the former rubber band goes all the way around the helmet, it has even worn down the decals where it rested. The base helmet is M35 with original liner, tight pins, and good original chinstrap we have not removed from the brim (this is how we received it). Marked "Q66" (Maker: Quist, Esslingen. Size 66) and lot number "3481". The chinstrap is also faintly maker marked. This is a unique "been there" combat helmet with lots of character. *Sold*

#G2234 Heer M43 Field Cap
Original WWII German Heer (Army) M43 field cap. Nicely marked on the interior of the cap "E44" with RBNr and size 55 markings (The equivalent to a size 62 helmet). Textbook late war construction and wool with re-enforcing bias made of the same rayon material as the cap lining. Original factory applied Heer insignia with appealing olive zig-zag stitching. Excellent condition without flaw, no moth damage or anything notable, a near perfect example. *Sold*

#DW39 Heer Infantry Officer's Visored Cap
Original WWII German Heer (Army) infantry officer's visored cap. Factory piped in infantry branch white felt. Maker marked with Clemens Wagner firm logo on the interior lining. Excellent condition with spring still in place, no mothing, soiling, or staining. The clear celluloid sweat diamond that would have gone over the makers logo has been removed, presumably by the original wearer, other than that this visored cap is untouched and shows only the slightest signs of aging. Typical period size measuring approximately to be a 54. Top example. *Sold*

#G2246 M40 Normandy Chunky Spray Camouflage Helmet
Original WWII German Heer / SS M40 chunky spray pattern "Normandy camouflage" combat helmet. This camouflage helmet is symbolic of the fighting in the Normandy hedgerows with olive green and red brown colours over a standard base coat of chunky dark yellow which has worn through in areas such as the front brim. This standard wear on the front brim is from the soldier's hands putting on and taking the helmet off of his head. The owners name is both painted into the rear skirt and also written on the leather liner, the name suggest this soldier was of Czech origin which is interesting. The base helmet is M40 with original liner, pins, and good original chinstrap. The liner has never been removed and only one pin is a bit loose, all pins still have original washers in place. Marked "EF64" (Maker: Emaillerwerke A.G. / Fulda, Size 64) and faint lot number "363". This is a true "been there" example worn in combat and sent home from the battlefield as a souvenir, there are no flaws and it has not been touched or messed with in any way after the war. A great camouflage combat helmet. *Sold*

#RG103 Luftwaffe M43 EM Field Cap
Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Air Force) enlisted members field cap. Textbook example in lightly worn condition with original factory applied insignia. The Luftwaffe eagle is originally factory machine stitch applied, with cockade machine sewn under the bottom portion of the eagle carrying swastika. The top panel of the cap was attached after application of the insignia, with machine stitching running over the stitched tips of the eagles wings. This is the type of insignia application is the type collectors desire the most, as it leaves no question that this insignia is wartime factory applied. Rayon lining with factory ink stamps indicating the manufacturers RBNr, 1944 date, and size 60 (Desirable and uncommon large size). The caps buttons are well attached with only a couple small flakes to the paint which is standard. The cap has some discolouration to the rayon lining from period German hair products and sweat. This is an excellent example. *Sold*

ROTHER". The helmet is maker marked "SE64" (Maker: Sächsische emailler und stanzwerke A.G. / Lauter. Size: 64) and lot number "440". Consulting the GHW2 lot number database, this helmet is consistent with other Wehrmacht M40 helmets issued to the Heer and the Luftwaffe. It appears there are traces of a Heer decal under the paint, but it's hard to be sure. The helmet retains the original liner, complete with tight pins and washers that haven't been tampered with. The original chinstrap completes the helmet. This is a great one-look untouched helmet that is ready for any collection. *Sold*

#RG178 M40 Grey Camouflage Combat Helmet

The helmet is maker marked "SE64" (Maker: Sächsische emailler und stanzwerke A.G. / Lauter, size: 64) and lot number "8568". Consulting the GHW2 lot number database, this helmet is consistent in the range of other Heer M40 helmets. We think the WiV is base stores manager, and Finsterwalde was a large airbase near Brandenburg. The helmet is named to "A. Schermer".

#G2552 Very Early Heer M35 Double Decal Combat Helmet, NS68
Original WWII German very early Heer M35 “Double Decal” combat helmet. Maker marked on the interior steel skirt NS68 (Maker: Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG, Schwerte. Size: 68) and lot number B3. The lot number B3 is the earliest NS lot number observed to date according to the GHW2 lot number database. The database indicates the helmet is consistent with other super early NS Heer helmets. NS double decal helmets have always been a rare maker to find, especially in large sizes. The helmet shows real evidence of being in combat, to include the expected wear and some interesting small dents that ad character and appear to be from combat. There are no signs of cleaning or tampering, every indication suggests this is a truly untouched helmet that has survived in remarkable condition. This is a scarce super early large size helmet from a desirable maker ready for any collection, and despite very long service it always remained a double-decal Heer. *Sold*
