#CC2 Original Presentation Case for the George Cross Medal
Scarce original presentation case for the George Cross medal. This case would have been presented along with the medal to one of only 408 recipients to date. The Royal Mint manufacturers stamp inside the lid has the Kings Crown, dating this case prior to 1953. The exterior of the box is covered in textured blue leather with gold embossing details on the lid. The interior of the lid has a white silk/satin liner. The lower interior where the medal sits is finished in fine black velvet.  The two brass hinges are fully functional and in tact while slightly tarnished. The box shows age with minimal wear, overall the case is in excellent condition. The presentation case comes complete in the original brown paper envelope with hand writing “Charlie’s George Cross Box” who we assume was the original recipient, although us and the consignor are not aware of who George may be. The case dimensions measure 70mm (Width) 130mm (Length) and 22mm (Depth). The weight of the case is 104 grams. This is an extremely rare opportunity to own this very special case to complement an original George Cross Medal or specimen copy. Any questions or for more photos please enquire. We're not aware of any other examples of this case having been previously offered on the open market. $2875

#CD271 Lancaster Bomber Pilot I.B. Jackson (DFC) Shoulder Board Grouping
Original WWII grouping of Flight Lieutenant I.B. Jackson (DFC).  Group includes F/Lieut Jackson's Flying Officer's shoulder boards that he is shown holding when he sold them to a collector in the 1990's, an original RCAF stationary calendar blotter for 1944-1945, a photo copy of his telegraph showing he earned the distinguished flying cross, two original photos from the 1990's when he sold this group to a collector, and a photo copy of his extensive flight log which includes many missions over enemy territory from late 1944 to the end of the war in 1945. Looking at this flight records, F/Lieut Jackson was incredibly lucky to survive the war and this small grouping is a testament to his good fortune and bravery. This is a humble grouping but your chance to own something worn by a Lancaster Bomber Pilot with provenance for an affordable price, great research project. $95

Original WWII "Yellow" epaulette slip on for members of 1 Canadian Parachute Battalion. These yellow slips on were to distinguish the wearer as a soldier of a Canadian unit, these were worn by members of 1 Can Para on D-Day and operations in North West Europe. These were worn on the epaulette of the battle dress tunic and also the Denison smock. This is a textbook original example of this mega rare insignia item, these are heavily faked and originals such as this one reside in only the most advanced collections, very few originals ever come to market.  This is a single. *Sold*

First Special Service Force Type 4 Arrow Head
WWII 1st Special Service Force Type 4 Patch. This variation first appears as the Devil's Brigade makes preparations to land on the Hyeres Islands off the Southern coast of France in August 1944. It is a scarcer version of the patch which oddly does not adhere to the published design being a different shape of spearhead. This example has the requisite amount of "snow" white thread to the bobbin embroidery to guarantee it's wartime manufacture. Attached are some shots of FSSF soldiers clearly showing the unique shape. The first photo was taken in Southern France, and based on research by advanced collectors this variation does not appear until that time. *Sold*

#BS20 WWII 3rd Canadian Infantry Division Headquarters Flag
Impressive and unique one of a kind WWII 3rd Canadian Infantry Division headquarters flag. Constructed of French-grey heavy cotton twill with re-enforced edges and individual cotton ribbon ties, large yellow cotton twill Canadian maple leafs are zig-zag stitched to the centre of each side.  We are not aware of any other examples in existence.  This iconic flag would have been flown by the Headquarters of the 3rd Canadian Division which played a major role in the invasion of Normandy.  This flag would be the centrepiece of any 3rd Division display, collection, or museum. The condition of the flag is overall excellent, there are a few spots of fading likely from being folded and near lighting or sun but it's not bad enough to detract.  The lightly faded areas are visible in the photos. There are no rips, tears, or repairs. The flag is well constructed with re-enforced folded edges.  The ties are all present and strongly attached to the flag itself. Flag was originally sold at auction by a Canadian Legion many years ago. *Sold*
